Job Description

The Account Executive will provide essential support to the Sales Manager in managing all sales-related tasks within their designated territory. The Account Executive will collaborate closely with the Sales Manager to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

1. Administrative & Operational Support:

Documentation and Reporting:
- Assist in preparing weekly call reports and sales recaps.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and results.

Sample Management:
- Process and track client sample orders, ensuring timely delivery.
- Monitor inventory of sample materials and coordinate restocking.

Sales Collateral:

- Prepare and distribute brochures, samples, and digital resources.
- Ensure sales materials are current and accessible.

2. Client Service & Relationship Management:

Client Communication:
- Respond to client inquiries and provide product information.
- Schedule presentations, meetings, and follow-ups with clients.

Client Support:
- Address client needs and concerns, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Maintain and update Calico’s presence in client libraries.

3. Event Coordination & Participation:

Event Preparation:
- Assist in preparations for trade events and networking opportunities.
- Coordinate event logistics, including booth setup and travel arrangements.

On-Site Support:
- Provide on-site assistance during trade shows, helping with setup and attendee engagement.

4. Sales & Territory Support:

Territory Analysis:
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and growth potential.

Sales Support:
- Assist in implementing territory-specific sales strategies.
- Support tracking of sales targets and progress within the territory.

Job Requirements

- Must be based in Los Angeles
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative or sales support experience; experience in the interior design or wallcovering industry is a plus.
- Attitude: Upbeat, energetic, and a can-do attitude.
- Work Environment: Ability to work from a home office and showroom; hybrid work model.
- Team Player: Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Organizational Skills: Stellar organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Customer-Centric: Track record of providing fast response times and a customer-centric mentality.
- Communication: Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, and well-versed with ERP/CRM systems.
- Travel: Some travel required for regular client visits, trade shows, and company events.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and internet required.
