During its High Point Market breakfast, WithIt, the women’s leadership development network for the home and furnishings industries, raised $5,000 for the Women’s Health Initiative at the City of Hope for cancer and women’s health.

One hundred-plus industry pros, designers and retailers attended to hear about Portuguese designer Joana Aranha’s work. Her company, Bunakara, debuted a new collection at market.

“It was such a great honor to be able to represent our WithIt members and friends to offer such a generous donation to City of Hope,” says Lorri Kelley, president of BDI and the vice president of education for WithIt. “The work they are doing in research to eradicate the types of cancers that specifically target women is critically important, and being able to offer support for this initiative on behalf of everyone at WithIt was just terrific.”
