The Innovator Award is presented to someone who has achieved an overarching level of innovation and excellence, and whose work and vision has touched various corners of the globe. Previous CTC&G Innovators include Jonathan Adler in 2013 and Alexa Hampton in 2012.

EditorTV host Jayne Chase interviews Jonathan Adler, Beth Greene and D.J. Carey at the 2013 CTC&G Innovation in Design Awards (Stamford, CT, July 2013).

“Throughout his career in design John Edelman has been an innovator," said Editorial Director of CTC&G, D.J. Carey. “Most recently as the president and CEO of Design Within Reach, John has made authentic modern pieces accessible to the consumer for the first time. His commitment to protecting designers of classic modern pieces and his recent effort to involve more designers at Design Within Reach has changed the way we all view and live with modern design."

The Innovation in Design Awards also celebrate and honor top designs in the categories of Architecture, Interior Design, Kitchen, Bath, Garden and Innovative Product Design. The winners in these categories will be chosen by a judging panel comprised of Anthony Baratta of Anthony Baratta LLC, Gary Brewer of Robert A.M. Stern Architects, Jennifer Cohler Mason of J. Cohler Mason Design, Kerry Delrose of Delrose Design Group, Matthew Patrick Smyth of Matthew Patrick Smyth Interior Designs and Eric Rains of Eric Rains Landscape Architects.
