The Shade Store opened its new, three-story New York flagship on September 10 with a celebratory fête sponsored by Architectural Digest. One hundred guests attended the party, among them AD100 Designer John Barman, designers Todd Klein, Alberto Villalobos and Young Huh, Shade Store CMO Neeraj SharmaAD style editor Parker Larson, and AD advertising director William Pittel.

The opening is one of the latest in a series of showroom unveilings; by the end of the year, the brand will have opened 40 stores across the country. The benefits of the in-store experience, said Shade Store CEO Adam Gibbs, include designers' ability to "test-drive [product], get inspired, meet our team—who we think is really second-to-none—and in general get an understanding of how we value not only the customer relationship but how we're thinking about a solution for them."

As Pittel shared with EditorTV, which was on hand to capture the event, “This showroom, their new flagship, is really beautiful. We’re just thrilled to be partnering with the Shade Store.”

Find The Shade Store’s newest location at 225 East 59th St., New York.
