It’s officially fall, and as the leaves begin to drop, the industry pace picks up with design events around the globe. Read on for BOH’s list of industry gatherings and shows happening next month.

Autumn Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair
London | October 1–6
This triannual fair unites more than 130 dealers in antiques, fine and decorative art, and modernist design in one place. Taking place at Evolution London in Battersea Park, the event features an array of traditional and decorative antiques, early 20th century design items, accessories and contemporary paintings, as well as prints and sculptures. Archtober
New York | October 1–31
The annual monthlong New York festival celebrates all things architecture with over 1,500 events—a mix of tours, lectures, workshops, panels and exhibits in partnership with museums, parks, advocacy groups and more. Design Week Mexico
Mexico City | October 7–November 3
Taking place in Mexico City, this annual design week boasts numerous events, panels and galleries showcasing what’s new in Mexican and international design. One of the exhibits is “Territorio,” a curated collection of pieces that promote sustainability, featuring designers Neko Design, Uriel Lopez, Xoloplastics and more. The flagship event is Design House, a showhouse featuring unique spaces designed by the country’s best firms. For more information, click here.

ASID NJ Design Expo
Holmdel, New Jersey | October 8
Open to design professionals and students, this expo at Bell Works is hosted by the New Jersey chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. It includes networking events, vendor exhibitions and insights into the industry’s latest innovations. The special guests this year are A Well-Designed Business podcast host LuAnn Nigara and Noel Gatts, HGTV host and owner of Beam&Bloom interiors. For more information, click here.

Darien Design Social
Darien, Connecticut | October 8–9
Design Social is popping up in Darien this month, connecting interior designers with the artisans and entrepreneurs behind boutique brands from around the country. At DCA Meadowlands, representatives from dozens of bespoke textile, wallcovering, lighting and furniture companies will be on hand to mingle with guests, and throughout the day visitors are invited to attend talks moderated by Business of Home editor in chief Kaitlin Petersen and Veranda editor in chief Steele Marcoux. Frederic Magazine It List Awards Gala
New York | October 9
The second annual event by Frederic spotlights the up-and-coming designers from across the globe. At the gala in Manhattan's Nine Orchard hotel, a lineup of 12 designers will be recognized at the gala, with each receiving a $10,000 stipend to help grow their business. Pacific Design Center Fall Market
West Hollywood | October 9
For one day only, the Los Angeles design center brings together the latest furniture and accessory collections alongside industry trailblazers discussing everything at the intersection of business and design, featuring presentations and panels with heavy hitters from the design world. D&D Fall Market
New York | October 9–10
This seasonal market showcases the latest collections of the luxury brands that call New York’s Decoration & Design Building home, featuring product introductions, keynote discussions and networking receptions. For more information, click here.

Field + Supply Fall Market
Kingston, New York | October 11–13
The biannual maker’s market, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, connects the design community with expert artisans for a shopping experience that showcases 275 vendors across apparel, home goods, furnishings, textiles, ceramics, lighting and art. Brands this year include furniture maker Parker Burkhart and ceramist Ellen Robinson Studio. The event also features live music, demos, book signings and happy hours. Design Miami Paris
Paris | October 15–20
Joining Design Miami’s roster of events in Basel, Los Angeles and Miami Beach, this outpost of the global forum for collectible design brings together designers and art enthusiasts and experts from across the globe. The annual event takes place at Hôtel de Maisons and features dozens of exhibitions of historical and contemporary furniture, lighting and art. For more information, click here.

The San Francisco Fall Show
San Francisco | October 17–20
This annual show at Fort Mason is one of the longest-running art, antiques and design fairs on the West Coast. The event boasts dozens of dealers from around the world showcasing paintings, furniture, ceramics, jewelry and rugs. Following tradition, celebrated designers Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Ann Pyne, Elizabeth Pyne Singer, Mark D. Sikes and Chloe Redmond Warner were invited to decorate the Grand Entry Hall in different vignettes inspired by this year’s theme: “Black & White.” For more information, click here.

Dwell Open House: Los Angeles
Los Angeles | October 19
This three-hour event put on by Dwell gives attendees a chance to tour three Los Angeles homes featured in the publication. The properties this year include designer Rebecca Rudolph’s recently completed home in Atwater Village; a renovated craftsman in Los Feliz belonging to architect Chet Callahan; and a home in Highland Park owned by designers Isaac Resnikoff and Lizz Wasserman. Dutch Design Week
Eindhoven, Netherlands | October 19–27
Through design tours, exhibits and events, Dutch Design Week is an annual event in the city of Eindhoven that celebrates and investigates the future of global design. Exhibitions this year include one on sustainable public spaces and another on design reparations. For more information, click here.

Get Down to Business at ADAC
Atlanta | October 23
Taking place at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center, this one-day event allows designers of all experience levels to explore ways to improve their business. Learning about topics from licensing designs to diversifying portfolios, attendees will walk away with new skills to implement in their firms. In one talk, business and brand consultant Kim Kuhteubl discusses how to harness the power of intellectual property, whether through book deals, licensing collaborations or a digital series. Palm Springs Modernism Week—October
Palm Springs | October 24–27
Celebrating midcentury architecture and design in the desert resort city, this biannual four-day festival gives the more than thousands of attendees an opportunity to interact with 350 events. The fall installment of the fair features a double-decker architectural bus tour, the signature Modernism show, and home tours in more than 30 neighborhoods, as well as film screenings, live music, fashion shows, and lectures that encourage architectural preservation and sustainable living. High Point Fall Market
High Point, North Carolina | October 26–30
The biannual design event returns to North Carolina, bringing together over 80,000 industry professionals and presenting the latest trends, product debuts and networking opportunities. Fall Market showcases dozens of exhibitors, conferences, educational resources and panels on different topics hitting the industry today. This year’s events include a live session of The Business of Home Podcast’s Thursday Show with host Dennis Scully and BOH executive editor Fred Nicolaus, where they will break down the biggest news in the industry, as well as a talk hosted by BOH editor in chief Kaitlin Petersen with designer Suzanne Kasler on finding her signature style. Nashville Design Week
Nashville | October 28–November 1
This annual, weeklong, Music City–wide event celebrates the design industry in Tennessee and beyond through panels, workshops and networking events, celebrating this year’s theme of “Past, Presence and Future.” For more information, click here.
