Jury announced for Venice Biennale architecture exhibition

The International Jury of the 12th International Architecture Exhibition, titled People Meet in Architecture, taking place August 29 – November 21, 2010, and directed by Kazuyo Sejima and organized by la Biennale di Venezia chaired by Paolo Baratta, has been appointed.

The International Jury is formed as follows: Beatriz Colomina (Spain), historian and theorist, Professor of Architecture at Princeton University; Francesco Dal Co (Italy), architecture historian and director of Casabella magazine; Joseph Grima (Italy), curator, essayist, critic, publishing director of Domus magazine; Arata Isozaki (Japan), architect and director of Arata Isozaki & Associates; Moritz Küng (Switzerland), independent curator, director of the exhibitions programme for the deSingel International Arts Campus of Antwerp; Jean Nouvel (France), architect, recipient of the 2008 Pritzker Architecture Prize; and Trinh T. Minh-ha (Vietnam), filmmaker, writer, composer, professor of Women's Studies and Rhetoric (Film) at the University of California, Berkeley.

The President of the Jury will be nominated by its members at the first meeting.

The International Jury will attribute the Golden Lion for best National Participation; the Golden Lion for best project in the International Exhibition People Meet in Architecture and the Silver Lion for a promising young architect in the Exhibition.
