Following an announcement earlier this month that Interiors's recent staff changes, CEO Patrick O'Bryan shares with EAL the magazine’s latest hires.
Interiors’s newly appointed art director, Charles Kay, Jr., “is an accomplished artist whose fine-art photography is sold in galleries around the country,” says O’Bryan. In addition to architectural, fine art and fashion photography, Kay has shot and produced print campaigns for Accenture and Nike. The Nike campaign featured Tiger Woods, “who then hired him to shoot for and art direct his foundation marketing materials.” His work can be viewed online at: laurieandcharles.com as well as charleskayjr.com.

Interiors’s new director of advertising, Rick Harrison, is a University of North Carolina MBA graduate, a 20-year publishing executive and a digital marketing consultant “who will bring integrated marketing platforms to our advertisers that will impact how they do business immediately,” explains O’Bryan. Harrison brings experience with European home furnishings brands and will oversee Interiors’s Milan-based advertising office, which will open later this summer. Harrison also trained the magazine’s to-be-named European advertising director, who has spent 13 years with Europe’s largest publisher and will be announced next month following a required three-month notice period.
