With special guests including Martha Stewart, the 22nd edition of Interior Lifestyle Tokyo concluded June 8 at Tokyo Big Sight with a record 652 exhibitors, 480 domestic and the remaining 172 from overseas representing 38 countries/regions.
Visitors attending the show increased 10% from 2011 to 26,485. The fair included Ambiente Japan, Heimtextil Japan, and Home Design Japan.
The annual award event, ‘Interior Lifestyle Award,’ took place on the fair’s first day. This year's show included five awards with new criteria developed for the appointed referees to chose the exhibitors they deemed most qualified. The winner for Young Designer Award will be invited to ‘Talents’ at Ambiente 2013 and is already receiving a lot of attention.
