“What I like about this particular app is that it allows you to visualize furniture in actual scale and at any angle in the room you're looking to furnish,” said interior designer Brad Ford, an avid user of the new Haworth design app. “Online clothing retailers have been doing this for some time with consumers being able to ‘try on’ clothes and accessories virtually, but this is first augmented reality app I've seen for the home industry that's been done successfully,” he added.
The app is a key highlight of the Haworth Store and allows customers to successfully visualize products in any environment, all in real-time. The tool uses a live camera view, which provides a clear outlook of how a piece of furniture might ‘fit’ into a space.

“Furnishing a space is a big investment and can sometimes be intimidating, especially when making such a large purchase online,” said Ford. “This tool helps ease those insecurities and allows consumers to ‘deliver’ several furniture options into their home and experiment with different solutions before making a final purchase. It's pretty remarkable and I think it's just the beginning of how augmented reality will continue to play such an important role in our industry."
Haworth’s store also offers a ‘Help Me Choose’ section, which functions as an advisory arm—helping users select and pre-plan.
