Elle Decor has named Elisa Lipsky-Karasz head of editorial content. She will report to Stellene Volandes, the publication’s editorial and brand director. Lipsky-Karasz brings a wealth of experience in media, most recently as deputy editor at WSJ Magazine, before which she was features director at Harper’s Bazaar and Deputy Eye Editor for Women’s Wear Daily.
Casual News Now has welcomed back founding editor Jennifer Bringle as its editor in chief. Bringle, who served as editor in chief and then executive editor of the publication in 2021, temporarily departed to become editor in chief of Mod Society and pursue freelance writing. She returned to Casual News Now as a columnist earlier this year.
Amid layoffs at Food52, editorial director Julie Vadnal has departed the brand. Vadnal’s previous media experience includes a stint as deputy editor at Domino and editorial roles at Cosmopolitan and Elle; she now plans to focus on freelancing and consulting.
Lila Allen and Sydney Gore have parted ways with Architectural Digest. Allen had been with the publication since 2021, and most recently served as the associate director of AD Pro. Gore started there the same year, holding the role of senior digital design editor.

New York–based PR firm The Last Agency welcomed Anna Caradeuc as managing director. Caradeuc has worked as an independent publicist and consultant since 2019 for clients including the Ace Hotel Group, Byredo, Demisch Danant and Pierre Augustin Rose.

Daniel Lalonde has been named CEO of Fiskar Group’s Business Area Vita, which includes tabletop brands Georg Jensen, Royal Copenhagen, Wedgwood, Iitala and Waterford. Lalonde was the CEO of Flos B&B Italia from 2021 until this year; before that, he was president of SMCP, parent of fashion brands Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot, as well as CEO of Louis Vuitton North America.
Garrison, New York–based furniture manufacturer Munder-Skiles has welcomed back Hilary Gustafsson as its new president and CEO. After serving as director of Munder-Skiles from 2011 to 2015, Gustafsson had a nine-year stint at Summit Furniture, most recently in the role of president.
Caroline Hipple has announced she is no longer at Hooker Furnishings, amid a string of layoffs that affected at least six other employees, including Becky Weber, senior vice president of merchandising and product development, and Scott Kanaly, vice president of sales and domestic upholstery. Hipple joined the brand in April of last year as chief creative officer. Before that, she was president of Norwalk Furniture, a position she held for eight years.
Kitchen manufacturer Nobilia North America has appointed Jenn Ocampo as vice president of marketing and communications. Bringing 15 years of marketing experience to the position, Ocampo most recently served as the director of marketing and communications for Dornbracht Americas.
Glass company Riedel has promoted Julie Barba to executive director of Riedel Crystal North America. Barba has been with the company for 25 years and has held the position of executive vice president since 2018.
Bed and bath brand Christy appointed Nancy Loukota as its new wholesale and retail director. She brings a wealth of experience in the fashion and lifestyle industry to the position, including her work as senior director at Tapestry and Northern and Central Europe sales director at Coach.
Appliance company Fisher & Paykel has promoted Dara Henricksen to design engagement director for the U.S. market. Henricksen joined the brand in 2019 as the marketing and communications director and was promoted to communications and consumer marketing director in 2023.
Jessica Norby has been promoted to vice president of sales at furniture brand Caracole Home. She joined the company in 2022 as its senior sales director, and prior to that was the sales director for Global Textile Alliance sister company Symphony Mills.
Sklo, the handcrafted Czech lighting, furniture and design brand, hired Marta Paetzke as the new Europe sales director. Prior to joining the company, Paetzke was the sales manager for U.K. and Ireland at Tom Dixon and has also held leadership roles at Gucci and MatchesFashion.
Rug brand Erik Lindström has elevated Sarah Schwolsky to director of East Coast sales in its New York showroom. She joined the brand in 2024 as New York showroom director (duties she will continue in this new role), and previously was a design specialist at Roman and Williams Guild.
Wood flooring specialist Havwoods appointed Rebecca Jeffery as its head of U.K. and U.S. marketing. Jeffery has run her own creative content and brand consulting agency since 2013, and most recently served as director of strategy and content for e-commerce company 7 North.
Moore & Giles announced the recent promotions of Elizabeth Stroud to vice president of marketing and lifestyle sales and Brittany Sydnor to vice president of merchandising and product development. Stroud has been with the company since 2009, most recently serving as vice president of finished goods, and Sydnor, who joined the company in 2017, was previously the vice president of customer experience.
To the Trade
Benjamin Frowein announced he was stepping down as CEO of F. Schumacher & Co. Europe and Middle East. Frowein joined the company in 2016 as president and became CEO in 2021. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years at the Boston Consulting Group. He will be replaced by Peter Touma, who joined the company in 2023 as president of Patterson Flynn, the brand’s floorcovering subsidiary. Before that, Touma worked at the consultancy firm Bain & Company, where he specialized in consumer products and luxury goods.
Textile and wallpaper company The House of Scalamandré hired two additions to its design team. Susan North is the new creative director for the subsidiary brand Hinson after serving in the same role at Rosebank Fabrics. Allison Block, formerly design director for prints at P/Kaufmann, joins as a senior textile designer.
Design & Architecture
Los Angeles–based Ohara Davies-Gaetano Interiors hired Chardonnay Pickard-Fares as its director of strategic development for its newly opened New York office. Pickard-Fares has served as a consultant for the ByDesign suite of CBS primetime television shows, as well as the marketing and business development director at the New York firm Studio Gabellini Sheppard Associates.
Wichita, Kansas–based commercial architecture and design firm LK Architecture appointed architect Craig A. Rhodes as its new design director. With four decades of experience in the industry, Rhodes recently served as a division lead at local architect firm Tessere, specializing in zoo, aquarium and local landmark projects. He succeeds Roger Brown, who retired after 47 years with the firm.
KAI Enterprises—an architecture, engineering and construction firm with offices in Missouri (St. Louis and Kansas City), Atlanta, and Dallas-Fort Worth—has expanded its staff in Texas, hiring Blaik Ritchie as principal of architecture for its KAI Design business. He was most recently the vice president at the architecture firm Nelson Worldwide, where he directed multiple studios across six offices nationwide.
Industry Organizations
Trade show and market center operator Andmore has welcomed back Scott Eckman as president, effective April 7. Since 2023, Eckman has served as president at rug brand Loloi, prior to which he spent more than a decade at Andmore, most recently as the executive vice president and chief revenue officer.
