International design show designjunction is teaming up with Dwell on Design for an NYCxDESIGN show that will take place May 13 to 15 at the ArtBeam space in Chelsea. Designjunction, which launched in the U.S. last year, along with Dwell on Design, the largest design event in the country, will bring together 30 of the top European design brands as well as “smaller, cutting-edge enterprises.” It will also feature a three-day design symposium with experts chosen by Dwell magazine editor in chief Amanda Dameron. She shares, “Dwell is thrilled to partner with designjunction and join the design dialogue taking place in New York in May 2016. By bringing our unique narratives to a live stage, we hope to engage with the design community on how the built environment drives the modern world.”

Deborah Spencer, managing director of designjunction, said: “This is an exciting collaboration, which we believe will deliver a diverse, exciting and vibrant show by presenting designjunction’s premier European design brands alongside Dwell on Design’s industry-renowned talk program. New York remains a hugely important market for designjunction, providing our European brands with a fantastic opportunity to showcase their products in one of the most stylish cities on the planet.”

Shares Edward Hogikyan, senior vice president of NYCxDESIGN, “We are pleased to welcome designjunction and Dwell on Design as first-time partners for NYCxDESIGN. After holding 500 events throughout the city in 2015, NYCxDESIGN 2016 is shaping up to be even bigger and better, with designjunction and Dwell on Design a key highlight of the event.”
