Domotex, the industry show for carpets and floor coverings, will run January 16 to 19 in Hanover, Germany. It will spotlight textile and resilient floor coverings for the residential and contract furnishing industries, machine-woven and handmade carpets and rugs, parquet and laminate flooring, outdoor flooring solutions, and a comprehensive range of care, cleaning, installation and application technologies.

One highlight of the show will be the Wood Flooring Summit, which will include about 200 exhibitors, among them Amorim, Boen, Egger, Kährs, MeisterWerke and Unilin. “The Wood Flooring Summit is one of the standout highlights of the show,” said Ulrich Scheffold, general manager of Margaritelli Germany. “It features a rich and independently selected range of innovative new creations and interior design solutions from the best of the best in the parquet, wood and laminate flooring sector. An informative and stimulating showcase for visitors from all backgrounds.”

Another feature of the show will be the 2016 Carpet Design Awards, with work from Reuber Henning, Hossein Rezvani, Rug Star, Tufenkian, Wool and Silk Rugs, and Zollanvari. An international jury led by top British designer Michael Sodeau will select the top carpets in each of eight categories, which will then be displayed.

Showgoers can take self-guided tours as well as attend presentations and panels led by leading designers and architects from firms like Alexander Brenner Architects, Blocher Blocher Partners, Bogevischs Buero, Kinzo, D’Art Design Gruppe, and JOI-Design.
