Fabrics and other materials from showrooms, product libraries and industry sample books are being used for good in IIDA NY’s eighth yearly Sustainable Quilt Auction, to be held April 27 at the Herman Miller New York showroom. Ten quilts will be auctioned off to support Publicolor, a long-term youth development program that reaches high-risk students through design education.

“I am amazed every year at the creativity and inspiring dedication of the quilting bee. This season, some of the teams are playing with borders and have gone ‘beyond the square,’” shares Abigail French, Herman Miller regional sales manager and one of the event organizers. “The intricacy of the work is astounding. We are really looking forward to presenting these pieces to our community on April 27.”
