Over the past few months, several design brands have completed major online overhauls—from new features and more intuitive navigation to editorial content and e-commerce platforms. Here’s a look at what’s new from Gary McBournie Inc., Laura Bohn Design, Agostino Antiques, ALT for Living, Thibaut, The HighBoy, Debear Designs and Pindler.
Interior designer Gary McBournie recently revealed his all-new website, which reflects his position as a transitional designer who incorporates the best of the past and present in his designs. The site is meant to be more user-friendly, providing easy access to all of McBournie’s social channels and showcase his portfolio—he's even organized his projects by color—and his design tips.
Laura Bohn unveiled a new website with large, scrollable photos of recently completed projects as well as updated projects and press sections. In addition, users will find easy access to all of Laura Bohn Design’s social media platforms and news about the firm.
Agostino Antiques is now entirely online. After closing its two showroom locations in Manhattan, the company overhauled its website to showcase its products. Designers can browse furniture, lighting, accessories, art, antiques and special sales from the new website.
ALT for Living’s new website, “ALT’s Bazaar,” features an assortment of carpets, textiles, furniture and accessories that can be purchased directly online. In addition, designers can browse more products and learn about “A Little Taste,” ALT’s European, boutique-stye café within the showroom.
Thibaut launched a bigger, bolder and easier-to-use website with an exciting new feature: live price and stock check for account holders. Also new is the “Inspiration Gallery,” where users can browse Thibaut’s library of styled room photography. A media section includes an “As Seen In” section of product placement in magazines as well as “News & Events” covering Thibaut happenings, collection press releases and advertising. In addition, an e-commerce section is coming soon for ordering memo samples.
Online antiques marketplace The Highboy re-launched The Weekly, the website’s online journal. The Weekly’s new look aligns with its editorial mission, crafting easy-to-read stories that inform readers how to incorporate antiques and art into 21st-century lives. The Weekly will cover a range of stories that reflect the thrill of discovery—profiles of some of the nation’s top designers, artists and tastemakers, as well as insider guides to cities across the globe, with an emphasis on places rich in design, art and history.
For much of the year, Westchester-based interior design firm Debear Designs has been working on a bigger and better website. According to the firm, this new website is a clean, contemporary complement to its more modern interior design. It also showcases its new logo, and newly completed projects in larger form with easier navigation.
Pindler just unleashed a redesigned website to reflect the company's recent re-branding. The redesigned website features enhanced search capabilities, detailed product information, educational elements and links to the company’s social media platforms.
