Studio Van den Akker's October 13 "Meet the Makers" Event drew a 100-attendee crowd, among them designers Wesley Moon, Antonino Buzzetta, Alberto Villalobos, David Scott, Dennis Miller, Malcolm James Kutner, Christine Haney of Farrow & Ball and Dorothy Winkler of Reagan Hayes. Other attendees included Orli Ben-Dor and Lora Yoon of House Beautiful, and Joe Harper and Melissa Feldman of Departures. They gathered to celebrate the launch of the brand's new Decoration & Design Building showroom and to meet their band of makers, including Martyn Thompson, Pamela Sunday, Kathryn Scott and Christian Heckscher.
