Amy Astley, the newly appointed editor in chief of Architectural Digest, made her first appearance with the brand earlier this week, cohosting AD Loves with Giulio Capua, the publication’s publisher and chief revenue officer. The yearly event celebrated AD’s top picks from New York Design Center showrooms, including Jean-Louis Deniot for Baker Furniture, Arteriors, Leftbank Art, Kelly Wearstler for EJ Victor, Sedgwick & Brattle by Thom Filicia, 1stdibs Gallery at 200 Lex, Jiun Ho at Dennis Miller, and Côté France.

Architectural Digest is proud to support great institutions like the New York Design Center,” says Astley. “Visiting the distinguished showrooms and speaking with the talented and influential guests at the event was a wonderful affirmation of how strong and vibrant the design industry is. I’m very excited to be part of it.”

More than 350 guests were in attendance, among them AD100 designers Jamie Drake, Victoria Hagan, Mark Cunningham, Jesse Carrier and Mara Miller. Designer Vicente Wolf and author Anthony Iannacci were on hand to sign copies of their books, while Steinway & Sons provided musical entertainment. Guests also enjoyed an art exhibition by Larry Lee Webb, presented in the 1stdibs Gallery.
