Architectural Digest hosted an evening reception celebrating the Robert A. M. Stern Collection for Walker Zanger at the tile and stone firm’s New York City showroom on April 28.

Robert A.M. Stern, Margaret Russell and Jonathan Zanger

Hosted by Margaret Russell, editor in chief of Architectural Digest, and Jonathan Zanger, president of Walker Zanger, the evening treated guests—including architecture luminary Stern himself—to a first glimpse of Stern’s ceramic tile collection, along with delicate hors d'oeuvres and prosecco.

Bill Pittel, Jacqueline Terrebonne and Basil Walter; Juan Montoya and Urban Karlsson

The new collection was inspired by architectural and historical motifs that are both novel and ancient, such as imposing pilasters and fish-scale shingles, and is available in an array of traditional and modern colors and finishes. In his opening remarks, Stern shared his hope that attendees, designers and customers alike would “appreciate how complicated they are, and how refined they are.”
