On the heels of the annoucement of the launch of SFC&G (San Francisco Cottages & Gardens), Marianne Howatson, CEO and publication director of Cottages & Gardens, has announced today that Alisa Carroll will be editor-in-chief of the new publication set to launch in April.

“I’m honored and excited to join the Cottages & Gardens team,” said Carroll. “SFC&G’s vision of celebrating interior design and landscape is a perfect fit for the Bay Area—a place where the built and the natural so uniquely and elegantly coexist.”

Carroll has extensive editorial experience within the design community, most recently as the editor-in-chief of 3D Magazine, the annual journal of the San Francisco Design Center. She has also contributed to ELLE DECOR, Interior Design and many other publications, and Rizzoli will publish her first book, Jay Jeffers: Collected Cool, a monograph co-written with the interior designer, in March.

“We are delighted that Alisa will helm SFC&G,” said Howatson. “She is full of energy and ideas and is deeply entrenched in the San Francisco area design world. We are confident that she will infuse SFC&G with the same ‘sense of place’ that has made its sister publications [HC&G, CTC&G and NYC&G] so beloved by our readers.”
