Robert Allen and NYSID student competition

For the second year in a row, Robert Allen and the New York School of Interior Design partnered on its Holiday House Student Competition. Five students were challenged to virtually design Cheryl Settino Mosher's room at Holiday House; they were mentored by five graduates of NYSID. The students were required to use Robert Allen fabrics and furnishings and also had a $5,000 budget for other furnishings. Michelle Lau won the competition and received $1,000 in gift cards and showroom credits, and all the students received accounts through Robert Allen.

"We are thrilled to once again be partnering with Robert Allen and Holiday House, allowing our students to work on a creative 'real life' challenge in a beautiful showhouse dedicated to such a worthy cause, breast cancer awareness, " says David Sprouls, president of NYSID. "Seeing the thrilled look on the face of this year’s winner, Michelle Lau, as Iris announced her name was great—a fitting acknowledgement of the hard work she put into the project under the thoughtful guidance of her alumni mentor. We at NYSID are so proud of Michelle as well as the other students who participated in the challenge, and are extremely grateful to Robert Allen for their support."
