On November 8, the design, architecture and editorial communities came together at Overstory in New York to celebrate the launch of Roam Interior Design, a new luxury design firm led by founding partners Mary Alice Palmer and Olga Acosta.
To toast the occasion, the Roam team was joined by more than 60 partners, designers and industry insiders, including Alice Gao, Bill Hanley, Eric Petschek, Fred Nicolaus, Gabrielle Savoie and Patrick Janelle. Guests were treated to savory canapés, wines and spirits, and a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline from the 64th floor of 70 Pine Street.
“To finally establish Roam as an independent practice has been a pivotal moment for our team, allowing us the opportunity to take on new, exciting projects as we continue to push the boundaries of design,” said Palmer. “We feel so grateful to have been able to celebrate this milestone with our colleagues, peers and industry authorities in a very special space that provided an intimate and authentic New York City atmosphere.”
Previously known as HKS Hospitality Interiors, Roam will serve the luxury hospitality and residential categories through a superlative creative approach driven by the insatiable curiosity of its award-winning, internationally recognized team of interior designers.
Founded on the fervent belief that a life well-lived finds inspiration through journeys and exploration, Roam crafts imaginative narratives in immersive, multifaceted spaces that simultaneously elicit a sense of luxury and ease. Fearlessly leaping into the abyss, the firm’s distinguished design team trusts innovation and their innate creative instinct to lead the way.
