On June 3, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles kicked off its fifth annual Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens, presented by Benecki Homes, with an exclusive preview day celebration attended by participating designers and sponsors.
Held in lieu of the traditional opening-night party to keep in accordance with the city’s social distancing guidelines, the preview marked the first time many of the participating interior design firms, showrooms and distributors had gathered in person since the pandemic-dictated work-from-home restrictions began in March.
Esteem Media CEO Adam Japko and ADAC general manager Katie Miner were on hand to join the festivities. The designers and sponsors gathered on Zoom later that evening for a celebratory toast to the showhouse’s Honorary Chair, Melanie Turner, and its beneficiary, Atlanta History Center.
“The Atlanta and Southeastern design community is very tight-knit, so it was a lovely, intimate experience to gather with everyone in one place over Zoom, after hosting the in-person experience for those who were able to join earlier that day,” says Elizabeth Ralls, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles publisher and editorial director.
The decorators’ showhouse is open to the public for tours Thursday to Sunday through June 28.
