During High Point Market on October 27, San Francisco’s Noz Nozawa of Noz Design, Nashville’s Stephanie Sabbe of Sabbe Interior Design and Chicago’s Rebekah Zaveloff of KitchenLab Interiors sat down for a conversation in the Chelsea House showroom to explore their commonality. The joining thread: They are all fearless female entrepreneurs who have built wildly successful design businesses, and their brands are recognized and applauded far beyond their local communities.
More than 114 Marketgoers attended the energetic panel discussion, which was moderated by The Business of Home Podcast host Dennis Scully. The group chatted about their careers, successes and learnings along the way.
“When people ask me what my favorite part of my job is, I say it’s sitting down with a smart, energetic and fiercely honest group of professionals, in front of an engaged audience, to deliver a great conversation,” said Scully. “I couldn’t be more grateful to Chelsea House for hosting us and to Rebekah, Stephanie and Noz for putting it all out there.”
“Being on Business of Home’s ‘Fierce Female Founders’ panel was one of my best experiences at High Point Market this season,” said Nozawa. “I don't think I’ve ever laughed so hard, learned so much or been so inspired while holding a mic—but thanks to Stephanie, Rebekah, Mr. Scully and the phenomenal audience at Chelsea House, this panel will go down as one of my absolute career highlights.”
“It was such a privilege to be on this panel with two fierce (and funny!) ladies, moderated by the best voice in podcast history, Dennis Scully!” said Zaveloff. “Highlight of High Point for sure! We seriously need to take this concept on the road—there are so many amazing female founders out there that I think have a ton to contribute to this conversation. We barely scratched the surface! Thanks so much to BOH, HPTMKT, and of course, Chelsea House!”
“As a frequent High Point attender and 20-plus-year practicing designer, I tend to think there is nothing new to hear or learn under the sun. But Dennis Scully, every time, swoops in and gets the best out of all of us,” said Sabbe.
“The ‘Fierce Female Founders’ panel discussion was phenomenal,” said Pam Cain, president of Chelsea House. “There was an electric energy in the room from a panel that was informative, funny and fully engaging. Dennis led the discussion masterfully. The audience did not want it to end. It was an overwhelming success.”
