J Cohler Mason Design, a high-end residential design firm based in NYC, is seeking a highly skilled, creative, and organized Senior Interior Designer with 5+ years of experience to lead and execute residential projects from concept through completion. This role requires exceptional design expertise, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with clients, consultants, and an internal design team in a fast paced, creative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead projects through the full design cycle, from initial concept development to installation and final review.
• Develop and oversee design concepts, furniture and lighting plans, specifications, elevations, and presentation materials.
• Collaborate closely with the Principal and design team to refine concepts and produce detailed construction documents, elevations, and FF&E packages.
• Research and source materials, finishes, hardware, fabrics, furnishings, window treatments, and accessories.
• Create and manage project budgets, scopes, timelines, schedules and client presentations.
• Attend site meetings, communicate design intent clearly, and coordinate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other external partners.
• Manage ongoing client communication with professionalism, clarity and responsiveness.
• Oversee project installations to ensure design integrity, quality control and attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as senior interior designer in a high-end residential design.
