Galerie magazine is hiring an experienced photo editor across all platforms (print, digital, and social). The ideal candidate will manage imagery and video as well as have a strong knowledge of best practices across social media platforms.

Responsibilities:
• Produce local and international photo and video shoots.
• Organize images for print, digital, and social.
• Pitch talent and hire photographers, videographers, and stylists.
• Negotiate rates as well as manage budgets, invoices, and photo rights.
• Oversee photo and video shoots and provide on-set direction.
• Order high resolution image files and prepare them for the retoucher.
• Research unique imagery that matches the brand’s elevated aesthetic across all channels.
• Collaborate and create weekly content posts for IG: carousels, videos, and animations.
• Assist in resizing images for web articles and manage digital photo permissions.
• Work closely with digital team to set social calendar to align with latest news and stories.
• Supervise all video content with third party vendors from planning the shoot through editing process.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience assigning and producing photoshoots.
• Wide knowledge of high-quality photographers and videographers for interior, still, lifestyle, and events.
• Experience producing content for social media
• Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, WordPress, and IG content creation for posts, videos and composites for web that match the brand’s upscale aesthetic.
• The ideal candidate has a keen eye for high quality color correction and knowledge of best practices for image production and industry standards.
• Excellent organizational, time-management and production skills.
• Knowledge and interest in topics Galerie covers is a plus.
• An outstanding portfolio that demonstrates creative photoshoots and excellent taste.
