Job Description

Within Dedar US, as Outside Sales Representative, you will contribute to the successful operation of the DEDAR NY sales team, in terms of service, collaboration and operational effectiveness.

The Outside Sales Representative, reporting to the Showroom Manager NY, will build and maintain consistent sales in the NYC territory, by consistent outreach with existing customers, while identifying new opportunities and following up on potential leads.

He/she will expand the customer network and will act as Brand Ambassador to every person that they interact with, with the aim of increasing Dedar brand awareness.

The primary objective of this role is to continue to develop the collaborative relationship we have with our clients outside of the showroom. This in-depth relationship will be developed over a wide number of touch points, and therefore this role requires a creative and flexible approach to selling.

Your main missions are:
- Actively researching new clients and further developing designated relationships outside of the New York showroom, ultimately providing significant growth to the New York City territory. Manage sales activities of these clients through regular visits, presentations, library updates, follow through and a high level of service.
- Expand, update and Fulfill client databases using our digital tools, and to better support and provide accuracy for our marketing and communication activities
- Build a broad base of repeat customers;
- Provide accurate follow through on all projects from initial quoting through installation and beyond;
- Keep clients up to date with all new products and services; while also keeping core products top of mind
- Keep active and up to date reports of customer activity and business pipeline via ongoing report updates and share with key stakeholders and senior management
- Supporting and promoting marketing and social media initiatives as a Brand Ambassador

Job Requirements

- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree;
- Sales experience with at least 7/10 years developed in similar position in design, architecture, arts and interiors environments;
- Knowledge of the luxury market and architectural & arts world. Good knowledge of textiles for interiors. Existing relationships with high-end residential designers & retailers;
- High-energy, focused sales skills and organization;
- Excellent communication skills, optimistic, positive attitude and great attention to details;
- Proactive problem-solving thinker and avant-garde thinker;
- Highly organized and detail oriented, with excellent presentation skills;
- Willing to support corporate vision through marketing and social media efforts locally;
- Proficient with various computer programs (Microsoft Office, Order Track, Comet PDF)
