Job Description

Dan Fink Studio is a premier interior design & architecture firm, seeking a Junior Designer/Procurement Lead to join our studio. For this position, we are looking for a creative and highly-motivated individual who has a meticulous eye for detail & collaborative spirit. This role is ideal for someone with a track record of managing multiple projects and priorities, both at large and small scale, from conception to completion. Here at DFS, you will have the opportunity to balance planning and process with an ability to think on your feet and problem solve creatively.

Responsibilities
• Support all phases of design from concept through installation; lead procurement, tracking, scheduling, and installation coordination
• Manage all vendor relationships to get estimates, procure and coordinate all furniture, fixtures, and accessories. Receive and review all CFAs and DFAs with Project Lead. Oversee fabrication for accuracy, coordinate collection/delivery
• Provide design support to Project Leads for all presentation development, ongoing project management, and client meeting preparation
• Generate proposals and purchase orders for all purchases using Studio Designer
• Keep up to date documents to reflect budget, procurement tracking and warehouse inventory
• Keep project folders organized with all project materials
• Meet with vendors at project sites for site measurements with Project Lead
• Manage payment reconciliation in partnership with accountant. Keep up to date records of price changes, reselections and returns
• Coordinate and support installations across pick-ups, collections, oversight of installation partners, cleaning, and touch ups
• Manage storage inventory, ensuring all items are completed, delivered and tracked
• Manage priorities across multiple projects, and communicate proactively to manage them

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of interior design experience or experience in a professional environment with an interest in pursuing a career in interior design
• In this role you will use: Indesign, Studio Designer, Word, Excel, Pinterest, AutoCAD*, Photoshop* (*optional)
• Must have excellent communication and writing skills
• Must be able to manage complex logistical challenges
• Must be self-disciplined, results driven, and able to multi-task
• Must possess strong organizational and critical thinking skills, with sharp attention to detail
• Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
• Knowledge of design requirements and materials for high end residential and commercial environments
• Must be willing to travel to job sites in the NYC metropolitan area and as needed to sites in other parts of the country
