We are a high-end, low profile, Los Angeles design firm managing sophisticated residential projects across the U.S. We don’t chase "likes" or maintain a heavy social media presence; our energy goes into our clients' projects and maintaining their privacy. Our business is built on repeat clients and long-term trust. We are looking for an Interior / Technical Designer to work side-by-side with the Principal—someone who can act as the technical engine of the firm.
The Role:
This isn't a rigid desk job. We need a creative problem-solver who can think on their feet and shift focus when a project takes an unexpected turn. Whether we are detailing a custom kitchen, solving a landscape issue, or outfitting a private plane, you need to be able to "roll with the punches" and execute.
Key Responsibilities:
• Technical Documentation: Lead the production of comprehensive CD sets and architectural interiors. You must understand how a house is built from the ground up.
• Fabrication & Shop Drawings: Review and redline complex shop drawings for millwork, stone, and custom furniture. You should know joinery, upholstery structures, and material tolerances inside and out.
• Principal’s Right Hand: Work hand-in-hand with the Principal to turn sketches into reality. You are the one who ensures the vision is actually buildable.
• Project Management & Travel: Oversee site progress locally and nationally. You’ll deal with all kinds of personalities—from high-profile clients to contractors—and you need to stay calm and professional through it all.
• Resourcefulness: Use your knowledge of LA stone yards, plumbing showrooms, and workrooms to find exactly what a project needs, even when the request is unconventional.
Requirements:
• 5+ Years Experience: Extensive background in high-end residential interior design and construction.
• The Right Mindset: You are deeply organized and a perfectionist about details, but you don't take yourself too seriously. You can handle a shift in vision without getting flustered.
• Communication: Clear, professional English. Spanish is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Expert in AutoCAD/Revit and 3D Rendering. Experience utilizing AI rendering is a plus.
• Logistics: Reliable transportation for local site visits and a willingness to travel for national projects.
