Report to and collaborate closely with Principal(s) and design team on projects, as assigned, from client onboarding through to final installation
Assist with any/all aspects of the design process, as assigned, with a ‘no task is too large or too small’ mentality and a positive attitude
Serve as lead designer in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Revit
Develop accurate space plans, elevations, 3D renderings, electrical plans, cabinetry and millwork drawings, and bespoke furniture designs, as specified by Principal(s)
Provide oversight of Junior Designers in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Revit, ensuring best practices and accuracy are maintained
Collaborate with outsourced 3D photorealistic rendering studio to share detailed documentation and details, per their requirements
Collaborate with Principal(s) to establish and refine creative vision, as requested
Source FFE that aligns with the project’s creative direction and budget
Participate in client design presentations as directed by Principal(s)
Translate client needs into refined solutions while managing expectations and guiding decision-making
Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with coworkers, clients, builders, architects, vendors, subcontractors, and workrooms
Develop and maintain client budgets and timelines
Develop and maintain accuracy of material and specification schedules
Obtain vendor quotes for specified items
Create highly accurate items and item components within Ramsay Nye’s design management program
Produce timely and accurate client proposals
Expedite purchased items and track all relevant information throughout the item lifecycle
Ensure all deadlines for deliverables are met and immediately notify Principal(s) regarding any delays in deliverables; immediately identify any mistakes, notify Principals, and develop correcting solutions
Manage and/or delegate tasks effectively while maintaining accountability and design quality
Collaborate with the design team to meet all set goals
Degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture
Minimum of 5-8+ years of experience
Mastery of AutoCAD, Sketchup and Revit
Exceptional design sensibility with a strong portfolio demonstrating involvement in high-end residential work
Deep knowledge of materials, finishes, and vendors in the luxury design space
Willingness to study, learn and apply the Ramsay Nye design aesthetic to projects, while also tapping into your own creativity
Inherent ability to practice honesty and transparency in all that you do, including admitting mistakes and solving problems with creating solutions
Highly organized and thrive in an environment of structure-based systems and processes
Passion for working in a super fast-paced, fun, and collaborative environment
Excel at working both independently and as part of a collaborative team that operates within two separate studio offices
Sharp, meticulous attention to all manner of details
