Job Description

Ursino Interiors is seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our studio.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in the technical aspects of design, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A minimum of 3 years of design experience is required, along with a passion for innovation, a desire to learn, and a strong work ethic.

Additionally, the candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are organized, coordinated, and delivered at the highest level, working closely with the Principal, Senior Designer, Lead Project Architect, and a network of consultants, vendors, and fabricators. This position requires a balance of design understanding combined with excellent communication skills, accountability, and precision. This is a fully remote role, along with required site visits and installations throughout the year.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Senior Designer across active projects, from concept through installation
• Prepare client presentations, design boards, and meeting materials
• Research and source furniture, lighting, finishes, and fixtures, including pricing from vendors
• Execute procurement coordination and tracking, including vendor communication, order placement, and status follow-up
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Translate design direction into clear, buildable documentation for consultants and contractors
• Coordinate with architects, general contractors, millworkers, trades, and specialty vendors throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment and execution
• Assist in tracking project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring all milestones are met
• Maintain organized and up-to-date project records across all phases
• Engage in client communications and presentations with clarity and professionalism
• Flag risks early and proactively resolve project issues, maintaining momentum and minimizing delays

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in high-end residential interior design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe InDesign; rendering software experience and sketching a plus
• Proven track record managing project schedules, budgets, and fast-moving timelines
• Experience running procurement workflows and vendor management; knowledge of Studio Designer preferred
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and follow-through
• Clear and professional communication skills in both internal and client-facing settings
• Comfortable holding multiple balls in the air without dropping attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
