As the Contract Sales Representative, you will be responsible for sales performance in the New York/Tri-state territory, driving bookings growth and enhancing our reputation among architects, designers, and specifiers. You will act as a brand ambassador, educating the A&D community about our furniture and lighting solutions and developing a pipeline of new and repeat business. Success is measured by monthly sales metrics and consistent achievement of territory bookings quotas.
Drive Revenue & Territory Growth
+ Achieve or surpass monthly and annual bookings targets through effective territory management.
+ Develop and implement territory business plans to maximize revenue and customer retention.
+ Identify and pursue new market segments and growth opportunities.
+ Provide accurate forecasts using current market data and competitive insights.
Build Relationships & Brand Presence
+ Manage and support established sales representative agencies and identify opportunities for expansion.
+ Build and strengthen relationships with architects, designers, and commercial interior designers through ongoing, strategic engagement.
+ Maintain a strong brand presence within design communities.
+ Present at CEU events, lunch-and-learns, product trainings, and industry events.
+ Five to ten years of sales experience in furniture or a related A&D industry, with a proven record of exceeding bookings targets.
+ An established network of relationships with A&D firms in the New York market.
+ Proven experience working with architects, designers, and commercial interior designers.
+ Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish long-term partnerships.
+ Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
+ Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
+ Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools.
+ Active presentation calendar.
+ Based in New York City.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with specification-driven sales processes in commercial and hospitality environments.
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Architectural Design, or a related field.
