The Winter Show, held each January at the Park Avenue Armory, is America’s leading art, antiques, and design fair. Now in its 72nd edition, the Fair brings together 70+ internationally acclaimed dealers presenting exceptional works that span 5,000 years of art history. From rare antiquities and museum-quality paintings to exceptional furniture, jewelry, and contemporary ceramics, the show offers an unparalleled opportunity to discover pieces of remarkable craftsmanship, provenance, cultural significance, and the highest standards of authenticity and quality.
The fair’s robust schedule of events creates a dynamic atmosphere full of anticipation throughout the month of January. The prestigious Opening Night Preview kicks off the Show on Thursday, January 22, 5 - 9 PM, drawing philanthropists, collectors, museum leaders, and design-world insiders for a first look at the exhibitions. On Thursday, January 29, 6 - 9 PM, Young Collectors Night welcomes the next generation of art and design enthusiasts with a lively evening of cocktails, music, and conversation set among the Fair’s exceptional displays.
Additional programming includes Connoisseurs Night on Friday, January 30, 5:30 - 8 PM, panel discussions, curator-led tours, and special curated exhibitions that offer deeper insight into collecting practices, art history, and the evolving cultural landscape. This year, Study of a Young Collector, curated by writer and art advisor Patrick Monahan in collaboration with The Winter Show’s Executive Director Helen Allen, will be the fair’s first-ever stand featuring emerging tastemakers. The installation brings together art, furniture, and objects from 11 international dealers who will be exhibiting at the fair for the first time. Conceived as an immersive installation, the exhibition recreates the private study of an imaginary young collector.
Since its founding in the mid-1950s, The Winter Show has operated as a benefit for East Side House Settlement, an organization serving the Bronx. All ticket proceeds directly support East Side House’s education, workforce development, and social service programs, which empower more than 15,000 New Yorkers annually. Attending or participating in the Fair is not only an opportunity to engage with extraordinary art and design, but also a meaningful way to contribute to life-changing New York-based community initiatives.
With its exceptional exhibitors, vibrant programming, and deep philanthropic mission, The Winter Show remains one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year—celebrating history, craftsmanship, and the enduring power of art to enrich communities.
