On December 3rd, over 250 guests gathered at the Ralph Pucci gallery in Wynwood to inaugurate new exteriors murals by French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. The event was co-hosted with Elle Decor and its editor in chief, Whitney Robinson.
Inside the gallery were new works by Hawaiian sculptor John Koga, L.A.-made ceramic lighting by John Wigmore, and paintings by Ruben Toledo. Guests included members of Fashion Group International; designers Carol Egan, Thom Filicia, Nicole Fuller, Sig Bergamin, Tony Ingrao; and artists Koga and John Wigmore. The murals will remain up through September 2020.
“The colorful and imaginative Emotional Puzzle mural by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac set the tone for the show with John Koga’s uplifting surrealist sculptures and John Wigmore’s ceramic lights adding some zen,” said Ralph Pucci. “The juxtaposition of it all creates an unexpected journey that was enjoyed by all. It’s always fun to see who gravitates to what, and there were lots of photogenic moments both inside and out, with a photo booth for guests to take their own shot against the beautiful mural background."
