A foggy evening did nothing to dampen spirits at the Museum Tower rooftop celebration for Grant C. Kirkpatrick’s new design tome California Contemporary: The Houses of Grant C. Kirkpatrick and KAA Design.
Forty-five attendees reveled during a cocktail party among the sculptures on MOMA’s Philip Johnson Terrace, including Greg Tankersley, Campion Platt, Celerie Kemble, Basil Walter, Anita Sarsidi, Meg Touborg, Jacqueline Terrebonne, Erik Perez, Peter Pennoyer, Dana Colla, Dennis Scully, Brenda Bello, Charles Hilton and Marcus Mohon. Following cocktails, an intimate group gathered for dinner next door at The Modern.
“I was thrilled to be able to celebrate the launch of our new book, California Contemporary, with our friends and colleagues in New York, and am very thankful for the great support we have received from everyone in the city,” says Kirkpatrick. “The Philip Johnson Terrace at the Museum Tower was the perfect setting to launch our book. Thanks to our friends at Princeton Architectural Press for believing in this book.”
