At Spring Market in the Four Hands High Point showroom, the furniture company, along with performance-fabric producer Crypton, was delighted to host the first-ever live broadcast of BOH’s Trade Tales: Ask Us Anything podcast—an extension of the partnership among the two brands and Business of Home. Designers Arianne Bellizaire and Cortney Bishop joined BOH editor in chief and podcast host Kaitlin Petersen to answer anonymously submitted questions about navigating a job with a nightmare contractor, getting comfortable talking about markups, and attracting bigger projects with better budgets. The panelists then opened up the discussion to the audience.
“It was an honor to host the inaugural live taping of Kaitlin Petersen’s Ask Us Anything podcast in our High Point showroom,” said Ellie Sanchez, vice president of marketing at Four Hands. “The room was filled with captivated designers eager to hear from three extremely accomplished women. Kaitlin’s choice of Arianne Bellizaire and Cortney Bishop as panelists was absolutely perfect. While these designers share much in common, they also [follow different] business models, which allowed our audience to benefit from dual perspectives on complex situations. We’re grateful to Crypton for helping make this happen, and are excited to do it again in our Austin showroom this fall.”
“Our new Ask Us Anything podcast would not be possible without the support of partners like Four Hands and Crypton, and I’m so thankful for the warmth and enthusiasm they bring to the stories we’re telling,” said Petersen. “We launched the show this spring to get into the weeds with our designer listeners, answering their pressing business questions with concrete, actionable guidance. It was so fun to experience that same spirit of helpful candor with a live audience. I was blown away by not just their energy, but also their quest for knowledge as they strive to build stronger businesses.”
