Five of the top trade associations in New York City—ASID NY Metro, the Designer's Lighting Forum of New York, the Interior Design Society New York Chapter, the International Furnishings and Design Association NY, and the Manhattan Chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association—pulled their resources and transported their memberships back to 1969 for "Flower Power: Summer of Love," a themed summer social.
Members got their groove on to the tunes of the 1960s celebrating the summer of love and the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. Guests got into the spirit of fun with creative 60's inspired hippie and mod attire.
"Everyone embraced the summer of love!" said Kent Brasloff, president of Ask Kent & Co. and Summer of Love event chair. "The whole focus of the evening was to have fun and celebrate our industry and colleagues."
Sponsors of the event included Thermador, Left Bank Art, Igne Ferro, Hafele, Mark Smith for UBS, and Wow Paper, who created a custom temporary wallpaper installation.
