What’s New What’s Next returns to the NY Design Center

A packed day of product launches, programming, presentations and panels will unfold at the New York Design Center on September 17 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. “What’s New What’s Next,” now in its seventh year, will feature 70-plus participating showrooms along with a wealth of design insiders. This year’s presenters include Anthony Baratta, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Jessie Carrier and Mara Miller of Carrier & Company, Eric Cohler, Jamie Drake, Tobi Fairley, Thom Filicia, Amy Fine Collins, Betty Halbreich, Patricia Healing and Daniel Barsanti of Healing Barsanti, Mariette Himes Gomez, Young Huh, Dakota Jackson, Jay Jeffers, Suzanne Kasler, Celerie Kemble, Libby Langdon, Charlotte Moss, Robert Passal, Robert Stilin, Bradley Theodore, Michael Vanderbyl and Carlton Varney.

Select panels include "Design and the Millennial: When the Client Becomes an Expert in the Age of Pinterest," with moderator Maxwell Ryan of Apartment Therapy along with Gomez,  Kasler and Kemble; and "Runway to Living Room: A Conversation on the Fashion and Home Connection," moderated by Michael Boodro and Mieke ten Have with Collins; while a number of meet and greets will afford attendees the opportunity to meet craftsmed, curated by designer Brad Ford, build something completely customized with Kindel Furniture Company's new program that lets designers create furniture from their own sketches and drawings; and meet countless designers, authors and artisans.
