Thomas O’Brien and Aero, his boutique, will have a new address at 200 Lex come Spring 2016. The new design studio meets gallery-showroom at the New York Design Center will house all of O’Brien’s product lines, plus Aero’s own goods, home accessories and refurbished antiques. Aero’s largest space to date comprises a lofty 12,500 square-foot space on the 15th floor of the iconic building.

Aero has been one of the SoHo neighborhood's longstanding residents, having made its home on Broome Street for 20 years. Yet, as O'Brien says, “I’ve been excited about what’s happening at 200 Lex and by the way this building has stepped forward to become such a great resource that is significantly busy with designers and wonderful dealers. I’m certainly looking forward to creating our new space, and reinventing Aero once more in this idea of a store and studio together—how to define that in a fresh way. I’m always intrigued by change and evolution, and it feels like the right time to bring Aero to this community and neighborhood where so much fantastic design is centered today.”

Jim Druckman, president and CEO of the NYDC, says, “Thomas and I have spoken about this possibility for some time, and I know that he has considered many locations in the city and beyond for his business growth. We are so thrilled that he has chosen 200 Lex for this next chapter. We believe designers will be constant visitors to Thomas’s collection, and to the unique style environment that he will create here.”
