Design Shanghai will return March 8 to 11, 2017, with 350-plus exhibitors and a number of new-this-year features, including a kitchen and bath section, designer-focused initiatives, and an emphasis on design both international and local to China.

Among the attending exhibitors: Zaha Hadid Design, Galerie Dumonteil, art dealer Frank Partridge and design brands including Moroso, Magis, Driade, Visionnaire, Porada, Art Design Group, CIAC, Thonet, Antonio Lupi, Seletti, HAY, Leicht, Fisher & Paykel, Kinnarps, Cole & Son, Duxiana, Bolon, Swarovski, Alessi and others.

The show will run a number of programs targeting designers and architects—including seminars with speakers Karim Rashid, DB Kim, André Fu, Benjamin Hubert, Luca Nichetto, Bethan Laura Wood, Paul Cocksedge and others—as well as hosting newly debuting spaces, including kitchen/bath and workspace design halls, which join collectible design, contemporary design, and classic and luxury design.

“Following the overwhelming success of last year’s edition, we are very proud to be bringing more and more leading international design brands to China and to reveal exciting new additions for Design Shanghai 2017,” says Mike Dynan, event director for Design Shanghai. “Our commitment to provide a platform to connect international and local design is stronger than ever, and we are determined to continue our support for the local creative sector and its ambition for innovation and quality. Moreover, as a result of the precious collaborations with our partners and supporters, we are expanding the development even further, taking over the city with a comprehensive program of offsite events, installations and design tours.”
