The annual Icon Honors, co-hosted by the Gift & Home Trade Association (GHTA) and AmericasMart Atlanta, have announced an exclusive partnership with new media consortium Sandow Media.
Sandow owns and operates five trade magazines in the field including Gifts & Decorative Accessories, Home Accents Today, Home Textiles Today, Furniture Today and Casual Living.
“To capture the exuberance and passion of the inaugural year in pursuit of an even richer, more relevant and exciting 2011 program is our collective conviction, now made stronger through the Sandow Media partnership,” said Jeffrey L. Portman, Sr., AmericasMart Atlanta president and CEO.
The awards program was created in September 2009 to be the first international program fully embracing the gift and home categories.
The 2010 Icon Honors recognitions went to James Douglas Glover for Lifetime Achievement; Peter Schauben for Industry Stewardship; and Anthropologie and the Museum of Modern Art Retail for Medal of Excellence.
The Icon Honors 2011 event is scheduled for Thursday, July 14 in Atlanta.
