The first big news since its recent acquisition, Lonny Magazine has debuted a new app which includes all the bells and whistles readers have been asking for. It includes access to past issues (three years); a visual index/interactive table of contents; portrait and landscape modes and offline viewing; retina-ready for the new iPad; and direct links to commerce websites for products featured.

The app automatically downloads new issues and alerts monthly and/or yearly Lonny subscribers of new content. And though this first iteration is designed for the iPad, the content will soon be available on other tablet devices.

Single issues are $2.99 or $1.99 for a monthly subscription, and $19.99 for a yearly subscription. All subscriptions include a 1-month free trial.

“The Lonny iPad edition is simply stunning. The brand is known for its exclusive home shoots, influential Market section, and distinctive photography, and all three really come to life in this format,” said Tony Mamone, CEO of Livingly Media (formerly Zimbio), the company that publishes Lonny Magazine. “We're excited to give audiences the ability to read, watch, touch, and experience Lonny on the iPad."
