This month’s lineup of collaborations between designers and manufacturers spotlights a selection of the most notable bed, bath and tile products now on the market from Kelly Hoppen and apaiser, Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg and Hästens, Arik Levi and Kaldewei, Mark Zeff and Watermark, and Guillaume Gentet and Imagine Tile.

Designer Kelly Hoppen’s collaboration with apaiser, the award-winning bathware designer and manufacturer based in Australia, has debuted stone composite bathware that draws its inspiration from the elegant bathing ceremonies of the East. The collection's layered designs include the Origami, the Obi (a sash used in traditional Japanese dress), and the Harmony, which evokes the petals of a lotus flower.

Mark Zeff’s fixtures with Watermark

Designer-architect Mark Zeff's luxe new line, H-Line, in collaboration with Brooklyn-based manufacturer Watermark, debuted at this year's ICFF. Inspired by Zeff's bath work in a new luxury condominium near New York’s Highline Park, H-Line includes widespread and single-lever faucets, thermostatic tub and shower systems, an exposed shower system, a floor-mounted tub filler with hand-held shower, deck-mounted tub sets, towel bars and robe hooks. One of the collection’s hallmarks is square escutcheons with rounded sides engraved with the letters “H” and “C.” Says Zeff, “The material has great weight, it feels wonderful in your hands and there is a real sexiness to it.”

Guillaume Gentet’s Trellis collection for Imagine Tile

The first in a series, Trellis by Guillaume Gentet for Imagine Tile features a three-toned tile set to large-scale lattice patterning on an eight-inch by eight-inch tile suitable for use inside or outside. “The tile brings a sense of dimension to what is traditionally thought of as a flat surface,” says Gentet. “I wanted to create a pattern that plays with the contrast of light and dark and is versatile for use in either traditional or contemporary settings.”

Arik Levy’s Kaldewei bathroom collection

Arik Levy's first bathroom collection for Kaldewei, called the Emerso, is inspired by the movement of water. The freestanding, single-person Meisterstück bathtub is designed with an undulating rim (an ideal headrest) and a tapering, fully enameled outer shape. The collection's two washbasins include the Meisterstück washbasin, a complement to the tub of the same name, and the Emerso, which is fully integrateable into an existing bathroom.

Hästens and Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg’s bedding

Hästens, a luxury bed company that has been handcrafting bespoke beds since 1852, has released its latest bedding collection in collaboration with Swedish magazine Elle Decoration’s designer of the year, Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg. The floral-themed collection is produced from Egyptian cotton in a lightweight satin, with 300-thread-count linens in 100 percent high-quality combed cotton. Says designer Ullberg, “I have cultivated flowers for a long time and nature has always been my source of inspiration. Herbarium is a kaleidoscope of clematis and hollyhocks, well known in Scandinavia, assembled in a checkered pattern that fits with Hästens beds.”
