Kirkpatrick has established himself as an architect for the stars, designing homes for Tom Hanks, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Matt Damon, Maria Sharapova and more. His new monograph, featuring Sharapova’s house on the cover, highlights his design philosophy and the mark he has left on California architecture through 24 projects. Victor Horta: The Architect of Art Nouveau by David Dernie
Architect and educator David Dernie takes a deep dive into the work of Victor Horta, the creator of the art nouveau style of architecture. The tome chronicles 19 projects completed by Horta, including Hotel Autrique, Brugmann Hospital and Edicule Lambeaux, which are illustrated through Horta’s original drawings and new original photography by Alastair Carew-Cox.
