Many changes have been afoot within Hearst Design Group (HDG) since its restructuring was announced last October. The first order of business for Newell Turner, Editor in Chief of HDG, was to create a single, immense Market department that would serve all three magazines—ELLE DECOR, House Beautiful and VERANDA—enabling a greater depth of domestic and international market coverage than ever before. The new team will be in effect this week in Paris for Deco Off and  Maison et Objet.

Hearst Design Group Market Director Sabine Rothman leads the new market department, along with market editors Orli Ben-Dor, Eugenia Santiesteban Soto, and Mieke ten Have.

The new department has 12 staff in total, which also includes market editors Catherine Lee Davis, Samantha Emmerling, and Victoria Jones, as well as market editorial assistants Alexis Anselmi, Hannah Martin, Dayle Wood, Lora Yoon, and Kathryn Given.

The editors in chief of each magazine, ELLE DECOR’s Michael Boodro, House Beautiful’s Newell Turner, and VERANDA’s Dara Caponigro will be in attendance at Deco Off and Maison et Objet, too, as will, on the business side, Hearst Design Group SVP, publishing director Kate Kelly Smith; ELLE DECOR’s executive director, home furnishings, Karen Marx; House Beautiful’s home furnishings director, Janet Gorgone; and VERANDA’s home and fashion style director Angela Jett Okenica.
