Up-and-coming furniture industry leaders will convene in New Orleans for the Future Leadership Conference, hosted by the editors of Furniture Today and Home Accents Today. The second annual conference, taking place September 16 to 18, will begin with an evening cocktail party and scavenger hunt through the French Quarter. The conference will also feature keynote speaker Matt McFayden, a polar explorer and sailor, who will talk about his leadership journey. Panels, such as “The Future of Retail” with Carl Prindle of Blueport Commerce and Manoj Nigam of MicroD as well as a panel on data collection with Anders Ekman from Data Mentors, Donnie Surdoval from Storis and Justin Rychak of Strategic Advance, will focus on the use of technology.

“This is such a period of change in the home furnishings industry, and this conference is designed for the young leaders or future leaders to give them actionable steps to help them take their next steps – both in their careers and their businesses,” said Jenny Heinzen York, editor in chief of Home Accents Today and editorial director of the conference. “While much of the content will target the under-40 demographic, our sessions will really focus on the future of the home furnishings business, so we think there will be a lot for attendees of any age.”

The retailer rate is $395 and the vendors and suppliers rate is $895. Register online.
