After four years of development, Emeco, aluminium furniture brand, has created a new version of its iconic Navy Chair made of 111 recycled plastic Coca-Cola bottles (about 65% post consumer content) from a new factory owned by The Coca-Cola Company, which collaborated with Emeco on the new chair.

The 111 Navy Chair will debut in Milan next month. Emeco expects to use about 3,000,000 plastic beverage bottles each year in production, which will start in June.

Like the original aluminum version, the new chair will be strong, durable and comfortable, but also warm, colorful and half the price at 195₤.

A new advertising campaign will launch in June, showing the chair encased in a one-ton block; and the Emeco Ice Cube will also be presented at Zona Tortona in Milan next month, during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile.
