Dwell mag and Lutron sponsor drapery design competition
Boh staff
By Staff

Dwell magazine and Lutron challenge designers to participate in a design competition, 'Made in the Shade.' Designers may create and submit a custom fabric design for Lutron's drapery collection, Kirbé, a treatment that moves vertically while maintaining fabric pleats.

The winning designer’s pattern will become part of Lutron's permanent collection of fabrics. A panel of professional textile designers and scholars will judge the first round of voting and the final round will take place on Dwell.com.

Lutron encourages designers to think of vibrant, sophisticated patterns that can serve as complements to clean-lined furniture by designers such as Knoll, Albers, Day, Eames and Larsen.

Submit now through the March 31, 2011. For a complete list of rules and regulations, please visit www.lutron.com/dwell.
