The West Hollywood Design District will host their fourth annual DIEM: Talks Design symposium on Friday, November 13, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at showrooms throughout the district. The event will feature panel discussions and keynote speakers with backgrounds in design, decorative arts, fashion, architecture and fine arts. This year’s sponsors include Union Bank and Domino magazine. The host and moderator is Mallery Roberts Morgan, the L.A. correspondent for Architectural Digest France, and Frances Anderton, executive producer and host and of KCRW’s DnA: Design and Architecture.
Among the diverse panel discussions are “Is L.A. Losing Its Cool as It Becomes Cool?” explaining New York’s new love for L.A.; “Dog Day Afternoon,” exploring how dogs shape our environments; and a “Taste in Flux: What Is Luxury to the Country’s Biggest Demographic?” about the millennial generation’s approach to luxury and its impact on design and retail.
The one-day event concludes with a cocktail party at Christopher Guy at 6 p.m. Learn more.
