The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Upper East Side Thrift Shop opens its doors this weekend with a whole new look. Thanks to designer Jonathan Rosen, who donated his professional services, the charity boutique will have great style for a great cause.

“There are plenty of things that people have donated to the shop, and with my team I’m going to go in and try to make some sense out of it all,” said Rosen. “I am taking a longer view on this. I’m not just doing this for the event … the new design will hopefully give the store a new life.”

He also plans to give the space some much needed new paint and lighting.

The Fall Furnishings Event will be open to the public from September 21-23. All proceeds from the event will benefit The Society of MSKCC's Patient Care, Research and Education Programs. For more than 55 years, this shop has been a vital part of The Society's fundraising program.
