Spring has sprung and the interiors realm is full of notable promotions and career changes. Browse our roundup of the latest moves across the industry.


Duan Tran has been promoted to partner at KAA Design in California, where he has served as principal since 2014 and has provided leadership in the firm’s growth within organizational and business development.

Alex Anamos of R&A Architecture & Design has been named studio director and senior architect. He brings prior experience as managing director and senior architect at Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects and as principal of KAA Design. Also at the firm, Brooks T. Atwood has been named director of design, bringing experience and accolades including being named one of six emerging designers in 2013 by New York’s Museum of Arts and Design.

Jacqueline Garner has joined Studio 11 Design as an interior designer, bringing prior experience earned at Waldrop + Nichols Studio as an interior designer and as a senior project manager at Bray Whaler International.

TPG Architecture has made two recent staff changes: Carly Jacobson, a TPG employee since graduating from college in 2008, was promoted from senior associate designer to design director. Jennifer Haney has joined the firm as a senior designer following experience at IA Interior Architects.

Design firm foley&cox has hired Barbara Maloney as business manager, to oversee operations and business development. She brings experience working with designers including Samuel Botero, Michael LaRocca, David Kleinberg, and most recently, at Todd Alexander Romano, where she worked in financial and project management for over a decade.

Laura Romanoff has left Maya Romanoff after 17 years of serving as the brand's senior vice president of sales and marketing. She has plans to travel and to pursue new opportunities. 


Monika Eyers has been named East Coast editor, home design, at Better Homes & Gardens, following years of experience creating design and decorating content for publications including The Wall Street Journal, Vogue, Condé Nast Living, House & Garden and Bon Appetit. She also previously worked at Traditional Home and was one of the founding editors of Domino.

Domino has hired Michael Ciancio as executive creative director. Ciancio brings prior experience as resident design director at Form&, creative director at Refinery29 and design director at Wolff Olins.


The Consultancy has hired Shaye Price as an assistant account coordinator. She has worked with interior and product design firm Fragments Identity, and has also been a publicity and events intern for CBS Television.

Tomas Georgi, formerly territory manager at Donghia, is now area manager at Poltrana Frau. Georgi is responsible for New York and Northeast Territories as well as Latin America.

Samantha Kanter, formerly of Novita PR, has joined UpSpring PR. She is working as an account executive, connecting the design portfolios of GRAFF, Juniper, Parts + Labor and other clients.

Austin-based consultancy Eaton Fine Art has hired brothers John and Nick Hancock, who are joining the team as sales representatives for Central and Northern Florida and Georgia, respectively. The two are partners of Hancock Sales, which represents furniture, custom lighting, leather, textiles and artwork. 

Joseph Belfer has joined Artemide North America as area sales manager for New York and New Jersey. Belfer is currently on the board of managers for the Illuminating Engineering Society in New York City and is an active member of Designers Lighting Forum and Retail Design Institute.

François Haguette has joined Artemide as national sales director for Canada, following 20 years of experience in sales team management. He has been a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society North America and specializes in energy-efficient buildings and obtained LEED® AP certification from the Canadian Green Building Council in 2009.

Becky Levin has left her role at Susan Becher & Associates. As previously reported, Becher herself recently retired, while Molly Bates and Julia Duke remain at the helm.

Carnegie promoted Erika Gaies to executive vice president of sales, where she will build on her previous responsibilities as vice president of sales, along with managing sales leadership for the Midwest and directing overall sales strategy for the Carnegie sales team.
