Design Miami kicks off in early December with new programming

Design Miami is returning to Miami Beach with a new layout and a reimagined gallery program. The design fair will run November 30 through December 4.

Participating in the fair are 31 galleries, including four first-time exhibitors: Chamber (New York City), The Future Perfect (NYC and San Francisco); Mercado Moderno (Rio de Janeiro), and Giovanni Beltran (Miami). Among the art and design highlights at the fair will be DeLorenzo Gallery, presenting Samuel and Dominic Amoia; Michael Jon & Alan, presenting Charles Hollis Jones; Patricia Findlay, with the exhibit “NO SEX” by Atelier Biagetti; Plusdesign Gallery, with “Streetscapes”; and Cora Sheibani, with “Colour & Contradiction.”

Design Satellites, an initiative that invites designers and organizations to develop contemporary programs, will feature a partnership with the United Nations on the launch of the program Building Legacy, Designing for Sustainability, which is focused on green design and infrastructure. CNN Style, the official news outlet of the fair, will feature an on-site newsroom and a live daily broadcast. And Design Talks, a discussion program presented by Douglas Elliman, will be delivered in a newly designed space by architects from real estate development firm DDG.
